Structural / Bridge Section Manager
 
Job Description:
Precision Engineering is expanding its capacities in the area of structural design. We are looking for a motivated self-starter to head up this new division. If you are tired of the corporate machine and are looking for a challenge while being supported by a well-established transportation design firm this is your opportunity.
 
This person will have full autonomy over the division as Section Manager. 
 
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited Civil Engineering program
  • PE registration in the State of Idaho
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in bridge design and a minimum of 5 years in the state of Idaho

Project Manager / Lead Design Engineer
Job Description:
Precision is seeking a motivated Professional Civil Engineer to contribute to our team in a leadership position as a Project Manager and Lead Design Engineer. The position will work directly with the Principal Engineer to actively market and lead design project for the office. The Candidate will also be responsible for ensuring proper resources are allocated to complete the projects on time and on budget.
 
​Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited Civil Engineering program
  • PE registration in the State of Idaho
  • Minimum 8 years of related experience, prior experience with ACHD, ITD, LHTAC and other local agencies in Idaho a must
  • Actively engage and market State and local clients across Idaho
  • Great communication skills and ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment, manage projects, and mentor junior engineers
  • Software proficiency with AutoDesk Civil 3D and/or Bentley MicroStation OpenRoads along with MS Office Suite is required. Experience with traffic analysis software is a plus

​Staff Engineer, EIT 
Job Description:
Precision is seeking a motivated Civil Engineer in Training to contribute to our team to assist with the design of roadway and traffic related projects. Duties will include various design tasks in the field of transportation and traffic engineering. 

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited Civil Engineering program
  • EIT certification the State of Idaho
  • Minimum two or more years of experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D for engineering road design work is a must
  • Ability to developing corridors, surfaces, pipe networks, feature line development, horizontal and vertical alignments are required. Experience with traffic analysis software is a plus
  • Analyze sketches, notes and other input material to determine and plan the best approach to develop and complete drawings with minimal supervision
  • Inform Project Manager(s) and Professional Engineers of progress on assigned projects and communicate design concerns with Project Managers

Civil Project Designer (AutoCAD Civil 3D)
Job Description:
This position is responsible for providing engineering design support to the Engineering Staff on public works civil engineering designs projects. 

Position Requirements:
  • Produce engineering construction documents in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Three or more years of experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D for engineering design work
  • Understand and use established company standards for drafting including layer names, line and character styles, drawings and window names, and file names for sheet layout
  • Ability to developing corridors, surfaces, pipe networks, feature line development, horizontal and vertical alignments are required.
  • Analyze sketches, notes and other input material to determine and plan the best approach to develop and complete drawings with minimal supervision
