Maple Grove & Lake Hazel Roundabout

Precision provided design services to upgrade a signalized intersection to a multi-lane roundabout in a fast-growing area of Ada County. Due to anticipated high traffic volumes in the design year, this roundabout will feature a multi-lane configuration which will outperform a signalized intersection. A concrete roundabout was chosen to extend design life and eliminating the need for chip sealing and pavement overlays. One challenge on this project was the proximity of the newly constructed apartment buildings on the southwest corner that required special attention, including special ADA considerations such as stairway and concrete ramp access to the adjacent apartment complex.
