SH-41, E Prairie Ave to Boekel Rd

Precision provided traffic signal, ITS, and illumination design services to ITD District 1 in-house design staff for the statefunded SH-41 expansion near Rathdrum. The work included design of three signalized intersections (two of which incorporated 220-foot diagonal steel signal bridge structures), conceptual design of over four miles of pathway lighting, illumination design for two pedestrian underpasses, and more than four miles of fiber-optic interconnect. The traffic signal design required coordination of large, diagonal signal bridge structures with roadway geometry, foundations, structural design. Design activities were closely coordinated with ITD in-house designers and with the adjacent SH-41, I-90 to Prairie Avenue project to ensure consistency in signal, ITS, and illumination systems across the broader SH-41 corridor.
